Our approach is to offer not just a high performance, flow sensing component but a complete digital flow sensing solution. In other words, you buy the component and we supply the full solution (all the items outlined in red below).

You can customise it to your unique needs, adapt it to sense gases other than air, and your solution is optimised for a seamless implementation and scalability, guaranteeing a quick time to market.

For years companies have developed sensor-specific processing circuitry. But modern microcontrollers can do the same job and offer even more.

They are packed with functionality, (re)-programmable, and readily available at minimal cost, for greater flexibility and convenience.

Our proprietary firmware (including sensor control, sensor reading, temperature compensation and other algorithms) has been designed and structured for easy integration onto your chosen platform to help deliver the ideal balance of performance versus cost.

To help customers overcome the mechanical and fluidic challenges of integrating a flow sensor into their application, Flusso has used its fluidics and engineering knowhow to develop a flow sensor for bypass systems to cover a huge range of flow rates in excess of ±500 slm.

The FLS112 flow sensor is supported by system-adaptive algorithms, and suitable for automated manufacture in high volume production lines.

Packaging and assembly

Our patented packaging and assembly solutions have been developed in partnership with world-leading semiconductor packaging, assembly and testing houses. And with one simple mission: to make the world’s smallest flow sensor for seamless integration into any product.

Our flow sensors have the smallest form factor on the market. They use a DFN package, are reflow solderable and shipped in tape and reel for automated pick and place assembly. In addition, our innovative package designs provide high speed laminar flow for low noise, high linearity, and excellent sensitivity at low flows.

  Easy integration

CMOS sensing platform

Our patented CMOS sensing platform is based on a unique combination of materials, processes and design features to offer improved thermal interaction with a fluid for high sensing performance. It has no moving parts, is highly robust, and ideally suited for cost-effective high-volume production of thermal micro-sensors.

Our flow sensing chips use a temperature-adjustable, tungsten hotwire micro-heater, which is fully embedded within a stress-compensated membrane. Temperature sensors are integrated alongside for ambient temperature measurement.
