Flusso emerged from Cambridge University in 2016, with several funding rounds including a heavily oversubscribed Series A round in 2020, while the UK and many other countries were in lockdown. This led onto a significant acquisition by a global PE fund and major MEMS semiconductor company in 2022.
This recent acquisition has allowed Flusso to double the size of its UK headquarters and provide the expansion capability and global footprint to dramatically increase market share for its award-winning sensing platform.

Flusso was founded in 2016 to commercialise an innovative sensor technology, first developed by the High Voltage Microelectronics and Sensors group at the Electrical Engineering Department, University of Cambridge.
Experienced team of scientists and engineers
Flusso has established an in-house team of over 35 scientists, engineers and semiconductor industry professionals. Bringing together unrivalled experience in fast-growing start-ups, sensors, MEMS design, fluidic integration and fabless industrialisation and scale up.
