FLS122 nominated as ‘most innovative new MEMS sensor’
Flusso’s recently launched FLS122 air velocity sensor has been nominated as one of this year’s most innovative new sensor products at the Best of Sensors Awards 2022.
The FLS122 has been named as a finalist in the MEMS category of the 2022 Best of Sensors Awards for its ground-breaking approach and massive market potential. The awards programme is presented annually by Sensors Converge and Fierce Electronics and honours the best in sensor technologies and the sensor ecosystem, people and companies.
Andrea De Luca, Flusso CEO and founder, said: “Everyone at Flusso is delighted the FLS122 is already in the running for a top industry award. The FLS122 is packed with new innovations to enable accurate and real-time temperature and air speed measurements but has a footprint that’s 80% smaller than its nearest competitive device. It’s an outstanding engineering achievement that will help Flusso address even more flow sensing applications within high-volume industrial, medical and consumer markets.”
The Best of Sensors Awards was founded over 20 years’ ago to recognise sensor innovations on the basis of their value to the marketplace, the issues they address or the uniqueness of their design. Awards are made across 12 different product categories, as well as four individual honours that includes for the first time this year a ‘Rising Star of the Year’ award.
Award winners will be announced on 28 June at Sensors Converge in San Jose, California where Flusso will be exhibiting on booth number 1024.
Team Flusso will be showcasing the FLS122 at Sensors Converge using a unique scaled-up 3D sensor model (show in the picture above) that will allow visitors to more easily see specific features and how much technology has been packed into the world’s smallest air velocity sensor.
